Hey everyone,

Things are going pretty good for me. To start off with, my legs got raised another four inches. It’s really neat to grow that much in just one day. I can’t wait until they put feet on them, it will be easier to balance so I could get rid of the walker.  I am really excited because my mom is coming in to town on Thursday and a lot of people I know from Beale AFB are too.  I am having the Command Directed Investigation (CDI) this Friday.  The CDI will hopefully give me a lot of answers about what happened during my surgery. Once I find out what happened I will let yall know, because yall have supported me so much and I appreciate it. I got my new wheelchair that the VA paid for. It is red with black accent, it looks cool. Since I have developed carpal tunnel in my hands and I have bad shoulders, I am going to get power assisted wheels. They make it easier to wheel.  There are settings that for every pound I push it multiplies it by 3 so it is a lot easier . I got my second dog back. His name is Moose he is a 100 pound yellow lab mix. Now between the two dogs I have yellow hair and black hair, it’s a lose-lose situation when it comes to getting hair on clothes.

Your positive attitude is so inspirational. I enjoy reading your updates and can't help but notice that you never have anything negative to say, and you have found the most positive aspects in the situation you've been dealt. You could have easily thrown your hands in the air and given up, but you have shown the doctors, your family and military family, and those of us from around the world who have come to know your story what a fighting spirit you have! You will stay in our thoughts and prayers as you continue along your road to recovery. God Bless you and thank you for your service.

Hey Read! I'm still following your progress and I'm astounded by how you've bounced back. You're so strong and truly an inspiration. :) I'm glad to hear you're making the best of everything and are excelling. I'm sure its still a very trying time, but you're clearly not letting it get you down.

I'm not sure if you remember me or not from tech school (I rocked B-shift, too), but feel free to add me on Facebook if you've got one. Keep smiling. You're awesome, still a leader. :D

Colton,

My husband and I are so happy for you and the progress you've made since you've been in TX. I wish that we had the opportunity to talk to you while you were still here in California. We visited you on your birthday, but got there late (we left you some items from the 22AS and 60AMXS).

We are rooting for you and hope the very best for you and Jessica. You have a strong wife there!

How you doing A1C Reed? I am stationed at Beale and I felt sick when I heard your story. The more I read about you, I saw we had something in common. We are both 1N1's and we're both from Arlington. I love the colors of your new wheelchair(red and black). Martin Warriors colors. I heard you went to Arlington High. Had to rub it in. I glad your doing better and keep your spirits up.
