I want to start off by saying that I got the liner for my left leg this week. A liner is what goes inside the prosthetic and holds it on to my leg. My right leg was too short for a regular liner, so we had to special order it. Hopefully, the liner will come in sometime next week and then they will fit me for my prosthetics. =)

Now the explanation of the title of this update, it really means the world to me all the support I receive from everyone. I appreciate all of the comments that I receive and now that I am able, I read EVERY SINGLE COMMENT. I have to tell you guys I really feel the love. I appreciate being in many of your prayers. Along with the kindness you guys show on here, there are others I would like to mention. First, people that buy our meals when we go out to dinner. I want to tell you all, it really means a lot to me when people do that. I spoke with one of them and he said “aww it’s nothing” but, I want everyone to know when you buy a meal for a military person it means a lot to them. I also want to give out another thanks. I just received a large donation from the men and women of Langley AFB and I wanted to say thank you very much. The donations I receive go to things to help me. Example, dining room table, we had a really tall table that I could not use any more, so we bought a table that I could wheel up to. Another thing that donations help out with is renting furniture until my stuff is shipped to me by the Air Force. That is a bed for me to sleep on and a washer and dryer. These are the things I need and were provided
because of peoples generosity. So in a nutshell, thank you if you have left me a comment or a donation because the comments help me on the inside and the donations help me with necessities. THANK YOU ALL.

Colton, my brother is nathan, he had played with you on the xbox for some time now... He told me about your story and I was checking in on you and I was so relieved to see a post from you that you are doing so well given the circumstances. My prayers are still with you. God bless you and your family.

Your momma's comment made me (Brandi) cry....Justin is downstairs watching the mountaineers (go eers!). I have thought alot about you and your family (as Justin has as well). So many of us have been through various surgeries....and they are so scary. And my words escape me everytime I think of you and what you are dealing with. I am truly amazed by your courage (and your wife!). What does not break us, makes us stronger. We are fighting for you...cheering for you....and praying for you....YOU ARE A AMERICAN AIRMAN =) and we are proud! keep the posts coming!God Bless........Philippians 4:13

Colton & Jessica,
I just want to say I am glad you are doing well. Know that you can still achieve so much, don't ever give up. We are all here to help support you and keep encouraging you to do well; most of all it seems like you have a great mother and wife by your side. Take care and keep faith in God and yourself. Have a great day.

Used to be at Beale

Fri, 23 Oct 2009 05:19:25

I used to be stationed at Beale not that long ago. During my tour there I had a massive gall bladder inflammation that hospitalized me. I was in a civilian hospital because I was admitted by the emergency room in Sac. After 9 days of hardly eating anything I finally started to recover although the doctors still wanted to remove my gall bladder. They discharged me and planned on doing the surgery as an outpatient the following week. Tricare wouldn't allow me to go back and said I had to go to Travis AFB for my care. I would have ended up doing that had I not PCSed about a month later. When I heard about your story it immediately sent so many thoughts through my brain but the one thing was one that I think we may have shared even for a moment. “I would have never thought…” As I’m sure that you have read over and over I want you to know that you’re ability to have a positive attitude has amazed me. You’re somebody who has been served with one of the biggest challenges that I have ever seen and you seem to make it look easier than I’m sure it is. If you’re into free advice, I would have to suggest this book called “The Veteran's Survival Guide” You can get it here “http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1597970514/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=1574884158&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1YYQ5VXTHTMDGBQKAM0F”
G
ood luck and god be with you.
